Schengen states follow ICAO, then add small local differences. The numbers on this page match the photo page published by the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is the plain-language version of that ICAO layout. If the consulate handling your file publishes its own sheet, use that sheet.

The background is plain and light. The expression is neutral, mouth closed, eyes open. PassOkay crops and checks. It does not whiten the background.

How to do it

  1. Confirm the mission. Look up the consulate or visa center that will receive the application. Most want 35 × 45 mm.
  2. Crop the head to 32–36 mm. That is about 71–80% of the 45 mm height. The checker uses that range, plus the eyes-to-chin minimum.
  3. Print or upload what they asked for. The 4×6 sheet holds several 35 × 45 mm copies. Some centers want a digital file instead.
