Green card photo
A green card photo is two identical 2 × 2 inch color prints. The head is 1 to 1⅜ inches. The eyes sit about 1⅛ to 1⅜ inches from the bottom edge. USCIS wants the photo taken within 30 days of filing.

How to do it
- Take the photo this month. White wall, no glasses, neutral expression, both eyes open.
- Match the eye line. The checker includes the eye-height range from the bottom of the 2×2 frame.
- Print two copies. Use the 4×6 sheet and cut two photos. File them with the I-485 or the form that asked for them.
