Print passport photo
A 4×6 sheet holds six 2×2 inch photos edge to edge, with cut lines on the seams. Print it as a normal 4×6 photo, then cut on the lines. Do not let the kiosk crop it again.
Start with a photo
Drop a photo here, or use the buttons.
JPEG or PNG. The file is read in this browser and is not uploaded.
Live view is mirrored on a front camera. The photo you keep is not.
Drag to move the crop. Arrow keys nudge. Plus and minus zoom.
Compliance check
PassOkay crops and checks. It does not replace the background, apply filters, or retouch the face.
These checks are estimates. They are not an acceptance decision, and PassOkay is not a government site. Head height is guessed from the chin and forehead, so nudge the crop if the guides miss the hair.
Drugstore kiosks such as CVS and Walgreens print a 4×6 for about the price of any other photo print, often around $0.40. Choose “print a photo,” not a passport-photo product that will crop a second time. Turn off auto enhance. Use glossy or matte photo paper if you print at home. Plain copy paper looks grainy and can be rejected.
The sheet is for documents that accept a home or kiosk print, such as a U.S. passport, visa, or green card photo. It is not for Canada passport photos or Australian passport photos. Those countries want a photographer’s print.

How to do it
- Crop to 2×2. Use the tool until the head-size check passes.
- Download the 4×6 JPEG. The unlocked file is 1200 × 1800 pixels, which is 4 × 6 inches at 300 DPI.
- Print at actual size. Select 4×6 borderless photo paper. Cut along the lines. You need one photo for many U.S. passport forms; bring a spare.
Questions
Can I print a passport photo at CVS or Walgreens?
Yes. Upload the 4×6 sheet and print it as a regular photo. Decline extra cropping and filters.
How many 2×2 photos fit on a 4×6?
Six, in two columns and three rows. Cut on the lines between them.
What if the print looks soft?
Start from a sharp original. A photo taken too small, or sent through a text message, will look worse on paper.
